Costa Mesa (; Spanish for "Mesa Coast") is a city in Orange County, California, United States. Since its incorporation in 1953, the city has grown from a semi-rural farming community of 16,840 to an urban area including part of the South Coast Plaza–John Wayne Airport edge city, one of the region's largest commercial clusters, with an economy based on retail, commerce, and light manufacturing. The city is home to the two tallest skyscrapers in Orange County. The population was 111,918 at the 2020 census. == History == Members of the Tongva and Acjachemen nations long inhabited the area.

Dr. Javier Mejia born and raised in Colombia. He received his undergraduate and Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS) from the Javeriana University in Bogota in 1990. After graduation from dental school, he began to practice and improve her skills until 1999 when he decided to move to the States. He was licensed to practice dentistry in California in 2002 after he passed the National Dental Boards. After several years of practicing in Southern California, and when he started his own practice, he became very involved in the Orthodontics area. After taking some continuing education classes, he was inspired to pursue higher educational training and returned to Bosque University, in his country, for 3 years of Orthodontic Specialist training, where he obtained a Masters Degree in Orthodontics.
Since Orthodontics became his profession and passion, he continues to further his knowledge in orthodontics, dentofacial orthotics, TMJ treatments and all new advances.
Dr. Mejia's expertise as a bi-lingual orthodontic specialist makes him a valuable member.
Dr. Mejia is certified by the Dental Board of California and is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the World Federation of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association and the Orange County Dental Society. Dr. Mejia enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling, music, reading and some outdoor sports in his spare time.
