About Coral Springs

Coral Springs is a city in Broward County, Florida, United States. The city is located approximately 20 miles (32 km) northwest of Fort Lauderdale. As of the 2020 U.S. Census, the city had a population of 134,394. It is a principal city of the Miami metropolitan area in South Florida, which was home to an estimated 6,012,331 people at the 2015 census. The city, officially chartered on July 10, 1963, was master-planned and primarily developed by Coral Ridge Properties, Inc., which was acquired by Westinghouse in 1966.
