The population was 29,518 at the 2020 census. == Etymology == The city takes its name from the adjacent Suisun Bay, which in turn is named for the Suisun people, an Indian tribe of the area. == Geography == Suisun City is located at 38°14′42″N 122°1′1″W (38.244863, -122.017048).According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 4.2 square miles (11 km2), of which 4.1 square miles (11 km2) is land and 0.06 square miles (0.16 km2) (1.39%) is water. The city is adjacent to Suisun Marsh, at 84,000 acres (34,000 ha) the largest contiguous estuarine marsh remaining on the west coast of North America.
