The population was 114,626 at the 2020 census, up from 103,483 at the 2010 census. == History == === Founding === On January 20, 1857, John Brandon arrived at Fort Brooke (now Tampa) from Mississippi with his first wife Martha, his seven sons, and their seven slaves.
